Description: One of our client is a leading Healthcare NGO, based at Delhi, specializes in community-based research studies. They work with various Govt & Non Govt Organizations like WHO, UNESCO, UNICEF, USAID etc...& has long term collaboration with several national and international institutions.
Responsibilities:

• Establish required GIS infrastructure at the organization
• Conduct the groundwork and prepare the baseline maps that will inform procurement of appropriate satellite maps, software, and equipment by the site
• Training, handholding and supervising GIS mapping team
• Follow uniform SOPs for implementation, monitoring and quality assurance
• Maintain coordination between GIS, Census and IT teams
• Conducting geospatial analysis
• Represent the organization at various forums.

Educational requirements:

• M.Sc./ M.Tech/ M.A/ MPhil in Geography/Environmental Science
• P.G. Diploma or higher qualification in Geo-informatics

Experience requirements:

• 2-5 years experience in implementation of projects involving GIS-based surveying

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in remote sensing image processing and Arc GIS, Quantum, ERDAS, GRASS etc GIS software.
