Description: The GIS Analyst acts as an ambassador of GIS technologies and solutions to the organization. The GIS Analyst will work closely with departments and divisions to design solutions that simplify automate and enable daily GIS operations. You will design, develop, and support Geospatial applications and manage the overall corporate enterprise Geospatial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support all GIS Solutions, OnPoint, ArcGIS desktop, ArcGIS server, Geodatabase, OCE-large format scanning plotting, field collection solutions
- Strong leadership skills, able to drive change in the organization around emerging trends in the GIS and spatial fields
- Critical thinker that asks the right questions to ensure data and applications are designed to satisfy GIS, Asset Management and Financial requirements
- Ability to align GIS initiatives to solve business problems
- Data modeling and process flow diagrams
- Time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS, Geocortex, Spatial mapping web applications, relational database technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, OCE, IBM Maximo, PRM-EnerGov, HEAT, Oracle and SQL databases, Adobe Acrobat, MS Visio, Crystal Reports, I Envelope
- G.I.S. process and modeling knowledge and experience from data collection through to application development, including an understanding of Infrastructure Data Management Systems
- Rational and organized approach to research, coding, testing and debugging, and can produce required documentation
- A team player with excellent organizational skills, you are equally adept at working well independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with GIS in a municipal setting
- Demonstrates good judgment and makes sound decisions

Educational requirements:
- Diploma in Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems, or related discipline
Experience requirements
- 5 years of progressive experience in a similiar role
Desired Skills:
- ESRI or GISP certifications. PMP, ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, Industry recognized developer certification are considered assets
