Responsibilities:
- Undertaking GIS mapping, cartography, data capture, data management and geoprocessing.
- Geo-referencing scanned maps and digitizing GIS features.
- Extraction and formatting of AutoCAD data into GIS formats.
- Preparing maps and figures for reports using ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
- Working with the UK EP GIS team to deliver GIS deliverables to tight deadlines.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Arcadis
Educational requirements:
- A degree in GIS and/or suitable experience
Experience requirements:
- 4 to 6 years’ of experience.
- ESRI ArcGIS 10.5 or above
Desired Skills:
- ESRI ArcGIS 10.5 or above
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Excel
- Experience of producing environmental figures/maps using GIS and CAD software
- Experience of geo-referencing and digitizing GIS data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Understanding of core principles of GIS and GI data management
- Well motivated and able to work to tight deadlines
- Desire to work within an international consultancy environment applying GIS to buildings and infrastructure projects.
