Description: Project Detail - A very prestigious project to provide technical assistance for Swachh Bharat Mission, Urban, including ODF, GFC, SS2021 and waste management (Solid and Liquid) system in Chhindwara Municipal Corporation (CMC) from ward 01 to 48. The project is directly being supervised under the guidance of The Commissioner, CMC.
Responsibilities:
- Solid Waste Management – Technical Assistance
- Documentation: Support project manager in collecting data and preparing documents/ logbooks for
- Dry and Wet Waste
- Material Recovery Facility
- C&D Waste
- Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant
- Bioremediation
- Landfill
- Compost pits
- Automatic Composting System
- Vehicle Tracking
- Community Toilets/ Public Toilets
- Others
- Capacity Building: Record training and development status of Sanitation Staff and to ensure implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and health and safety standards
- Solid Waste Management – Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities
- Documentation: Support in preparation and maintenance of documents/ videos/ photos for all the IEC activities conducted within Chhindwara Municipal Corporation
- Technical inputs: Undertake IEC activities at Chhindwara
- Planning
- Record attendance of employees/ consultants/ interns of RTI as well as partner organization.
- Support Project Manager in implementing Swachh Survekshan 2021 plans.
- MIS Management
- Report and document as per MIS requirements
- Work with Chhindwara Municipal Corporation to collect the required data for MIS
Educational requirements:
- Relevant degree
Experience requirements:
- Masters with minimum of 5 years of work experience or Bachelors with minimum of 7 years of work experience
- Experience as a project manager of atleast 3 years is a must
- Experience in preparation of DPRs and management of documentation is preferred
- Experience in Madhya Pradesh in Solid Waste Management is preferred

- Manage communications with internal as well as external stakeholders effectively
- Strong person with exceptional customer relationship skills, able to quickly build and maintain relationships at the most senior levels both externally and internally.
- Extensive experience managing Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in the Indian development sector.
- Demonstrated experience of working with technical and administrative teams.
- Extensive experience in client and partner relationship management.
- Strong team collaboration skills, including the ability to create a highly effective/efficient and successful team working atmosphere
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and understand issues, root causes and opportunities from disparate sets of information and provide clear conclusions and guidance.
- Ability to interact effectively with external clients and stakeholders.
- Strong project management, organizational and general “people skills”.
- An in-depth knowledge of the workings of ULBs.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
