Salary: INR 75,000 fixed per month

Responsibilities: 

    • To support the establishment and implementation of policies, processes, projects and   guidelines within CDRI aimed at streamlining the work being carried under CDRI projects to ensure methodological soundness, rigour, validation, and timely achievement of the goals of CDRI.
    • Under the supervision of the reporting line, the Young Professionals (YPs) will be required to provide high quality inputs in disciplines of disaster management, climate change, development studies, engineering, urban planning, sustainable development, infrastructure and policy research.

    Educational requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in planning, architecture, development studies, engineering, urban planning, sustainable development, infrastructure or any other relevant field with min 75% marks / 8 CGPA / or equivalent with minimum 2 years of work experience in area related to CDRI’s work.
    • or Post-Graduation in disaster management, climate change, development studies, engineering, urban planning, sustainable development, infrastructure, architecture or any otherrelevant field with min 75% marks/ 8 CGPA / or equivalent.

    Desired Skills:

    • Essential:
      • Basic understanding of research life cycle, technical and intellectual skills relevant for CDRI.
      • Familiarity with international frameworks like the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Sendai Framework on Disaster Risk Reduction and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to be flexible in demandingn situations.
      • Ability to present information and concepts clearly, both verbally and on paper.
      • Suitable computer proficiency, especially related to professional office software packages (Microsoft Office), Google Suite, or other relevant areas.
    • Desirable:
      • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
      • Experience in sectors related to disaster risk reduction and climate change.
      • Experience of developing concept notes, research proposals, and conducting research on disaster and climate resilience.
