Responsibilities:
    The Program Officer will assist in day-to-day activities of the program and report to CITIIS Program Coordinator/Team Leader. The responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but will not be limited to:
    • Liaison with stakeholders to ensure relevant information from the program is systematically captured and provided to program partners on a timely basis;
    • Assess and collate relevant information from the technical documentation (DPR/ Tenders/ LOAs) and develop reports for wider dissemination;
    • Coordinate with the Smart City SPVs and internal teams at NIUA to support development of implementation guidelines, best practices etc;
    • Draft consultation papers, questionnaire responses and minutes of meetings held by the project teams, apex committee and other committees as maybe necessary;
    • Support in organizing workshops, round-tables, conferences;
    • Supporting the logistics and on-site management of technical expertise and NIUA organized program events at city, state and national level;
    • Supporting the communication and knowledge capitalisation activities of the program internally and externally;
    • Documenting program activities for reporting to MoHUA, AFD, KfW and European Union at regular intervals.
    Educational requirements:
    • Post Graduate (master degree) in Urban Planning/ Urban Management/ Environmental Planning/ Sustainable Development/ Economics or equivalent Social Sciences (relevant to urban development) from reputed institute; 
    Experience requirements:
    • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the urban sector;
    Desired Skills:
    • Relevant experience of working with Central Govt departments, State Govts, Urban local bodies or Smart City SPVs is desirable;
    • Demonstrated experience of writing project reports, consultation papers etc;
    • Demonstrate clear understanding of urban development and management in the Indian context;
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
