Description: Swaniti Initiative is looking for an experienced professional who is keen on taking up a project manager role in policy research and advocacy role in the development sector. The Project Manager (PM) shall provide strategic inputs to the governments like recommendations for policy formulation and administrative reforms at different levels and shall oversee the team members who will be working in close coordination with various partnering organisations for the aforesaid motive. The PM would have to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of team members in the deployment of resources and management of the team’s functioning. The PM will also be expected to strategically identify projects and ensure the appropriate monitoring and impact assessment of interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical assistance and knowledge support of key government bodies
  • Conducting adequate research on the topic of concern relating to environment, renewables, climate and energy. Presenting recommendations to the stakeholders in the Government
  • Strategy formulation and team building
  • Oversee the performance and growth of the team members in effective execution of tasks
  • Support in processes like Project Designing, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation

Educational requirements:

  • Post-graduate degree in any field with a preference for those possessing a degree in environment, urban planning, disaster management, energy and other similar disciplines.

Experience requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in the development sector/government with a strong preference for those working on issues of air pollution/clean air policy, renewable energy etc.
  • At least 1 years of experience of working in a leadership position where team size was bigger than 3 members
  • Prior experience of working with multilateral agencies and large foundations will be favourably looked upon.
