Description: The Environment Researcher will have a key role in the implementation and coordination of air quality-related activities and projects of Clean Air Asia India Office. The Environment Researcher will be working with the India Director to support the implementation of key programs and hence need to be independent, technically sound, proactive and also interested in a role that involves coordination with the external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management, Implementation, Reporting and Coordination
- Inputs to Knowledge Management and Capacity Building
- Building Partnerships among Clean Air Asia partners
Educational requirements:
- A post-graduate degree in air quality e.g. atmospheric science, environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental policy and/or development-related discipline
Experience requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience working with air quality, urban development, environmental issues
Desired Skills:
- Experience in project management and working with partners like government, industry, and others
- Strong interest and demonstrated capacity in research, data collection and analysis
- Excellent writing skills in English. Knowledge of Hindi/ local language/s would be an added advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
- Interest in implementation work and willingness to travel extensively .
