Description: Swaniti Initiative is looking to create a group of young professionals who are new in the development sector with ambition bring change and are self-driven. The young professionals will be placed in the position of Development Associate (DA) at the district level to work on flagship schemes of Government of Andhra Pradesh. The DA will be expected to work with local governments and rural communities so that the scheme implementation mechanisms may be made more efficient and ensure more welfare of people. The position provides a tremendous opportunity to get exposure to policy implementation processes, piloting policy initiatives and interaction with several facets of the community.
Responsibilities:
- Create strategies for local governments so that employment schemes like MGNREGS may be made more efficient
- Inject technological tools like mobile apps for increasing peoples’ participation in planning and monitoring of schemes
- Liaison with government officials at Panchayat, Mandal and district level for trouble shooting
- Coordinate with the state level team for strategizing the interventions on ground.
Educational requirements:
- Bachelors or master’s or PG Diploma in subjects like Development Studies, Economics or similar
