Responsibilities: 
  • Expertise in Transport modelling and analysis to support various project appraisal, development and delivery on a range of transport projects;
  • Scoping, development, validation, use and maintenance of transport network and junction models, on time and to budget;
  • Preparation of technical and non-technical reports, as well as articulating findings to a wide range of audience;
  • Design, planning and execution of transport / traffic surveys;
  • Collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of transportation related problems to meet client and commercial needs
  • Formulate mathematical or simulation models of transportation problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives and their numerical parameters
  • Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary
  • Adherence and adoption of best practice to the Unitrans quality processes in technical project delivery
  • Appreciation of current modelling projects & guidance
Educational requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Planning, Architecture, Traffic, Transportation Engineering or other relate engineering/planning disciplines.
  • Preferably with Master’s degree in transportation planning/ Traffic Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Experience requirements:
  • 7-12 years 
Skills:
  • Should have expertise in the field of traffic and transportation design, planning and modelling, with a practical experience of some strategic transport modelling and micro-simulation packages such as PTV VISSIM, PTV Viswalk and PTV VISUM.
