Description: Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Centre (KSRSAC), an autonomous organization under the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Govt. of Karnataka invites applications in the prescribed format from Indian Nationals for hiring of experts on contract basis for the following positions for Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Centre.

Responsibilities:

Educational requirements:
  • B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Science/Electronics and Communication or M. Sc in Geoinformatics / Geology / Geography / Remote Sensing or MCA or equivalent
Experience requirements:
  • Sr. Analyst (> 6 yrs Exp)
  • Analyst (4-6 yrs exp)
  • Engineer (2-4 yrs exp)
Desired Skills:
  • Application design, development and collaboration in an on-site/off-site team environment
  • Design and develop customized web and desktop applications
  • GIS Programming (Web & Desktop)
  • To have knowledge of GIS (data types , spatial analysis , projections , queries , TIN , etc); QGIS , image analysis (using satellite images)
  • To have good command over mathematics and have experience and knowledge of statistics (variations , frequency , standard deviation , etc)
  • To have experience on open source programming , open data library and open source GIS platforms (GIS and image processing)
  • Administrate existing databases and develop custom functions, views and maintenance plans
  • Knowledge of ESRI Geo database, SQL Server and Oracle Spatial is added advantage
  • Knowledge of PostGreSQL/PostGIS
  • Server administration tasks to include ESRI related components (Portal, ArcGIS)
  • Develop and apply service orientated architectures to enterprise solutions
  • Managing and developing GIS databases/graphic displays/tools/applications etc.
  • Microsoft .Net Technologies (C#.net, ASP.net)
  • ArcGIS Server REST/SOAP API’s
  • ArcGIS JavaScript API, Arc Objects
  • Knowledge of Web-services, WCF services, IIS and other aspects of web-technologies
