Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and prioritize GIS development projects with other State govt. Departments, alliances and outside agencies
- Envisage and create policy for deployment of State level solution (in conformity with existing National policies)
- Be responsible for suggesting the technological tools necessary to achieve a desired output
- Evaluate trend, anticipates problem, and report on performance and status of GIS projects.
- Analyze problem and recommend solutions to meet standards and guidelines;
Requirement:
- B.E. in (IT/CS/EC) / B.Tech (IT/CS/EC) with minimum PG diploma in Geo-Informatics/Remote Sensing/Planning/MCA/ M.Sc. in (CS/Geography/Geology)/ M.Tech. in Remote Sensing/Geo-Informatics
Desired Skills:
- At least 10 years relevant experience in the field of Remote Sensing & GIS
- Experience of working on State/ National level GIS conceptualization and/or implementation projects with Government agencies
- Experience of working with ESRI or other renowned products for at least 5 years (esp. developing and managing database)
- Experience on working with Data Model, web services, scripting, Geoprocessing services and other non-GIS products for Integrated Enterprise Solution
