Description:
Demonstrate and apply professional and/or technical expertise/knowledge
Proficiency in conducting qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis in the urban development, climate change (mitigation and adaptation) fields.
Adequate knowledge of city level climate assessment frameworks and other climate action tools in the local context.
Proficiency in conducting comprehensive literature review and identifying case studies to apply innovative approaches (such as urban living lab, design thinking, etc.) in the context of the project.
Ability to develop and apply research methodologies on project activities, such as needs assessment, impact assessments, situational analysis, etc.
Support the project team in capacity building activities
Ability to carry out stakeholder mapping and identification exercises for workshops/policy dialogues.
Experience in organizing stakeholder engagement workshops with diverse stakeholders, including the vulnerable/marginalised groups of society.
Ability to work with urban local bodies in strengthening their capacities.
Contribute in knowledge creation and dissemination activities throughout the project
Proficiency in developing knowledge products, including policy briefs, working papers, journal articles, and blogs.
Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
Ability to develop outreach content, such as for social media, websites, newsletters, press releases and any other channels to deliver the project content and ensure visibility.
Qualification:
Completed Master’s degree in Urban Planning/Regional Planning/Urban Development/ Public Policy/any other relevant social sciences field.
2-5 years of relevant professional experience of working in reputed public/private sector agencies, with national/international development organizations, research/policy thinktanks, or with multilateral/bilateral institutions.
Work experience in the field of urban climate action with a focus on climate mitigation and adaptation is required.
Proficiency in software skills such as ArcGIS, QGIS, R, Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
Proven writing skills with a credible publications record.
Strong communication skills.
Willingness to learn and explore new experiences.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Flexibility to work in challenging circumstances.
Willingness to solve research problems with innovative thinking.
Willingness to travel as per the requirement.
