Qualification:
Master’s degree in engineering or management discipline and bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
A minimum of 7 years work experience in procurement and contract management of public works related to infrastructure and investments is required, preferably at local government level. Sectoral experience in solid waste management and working with local governments in India or other South Asian countries in the past will be preferred.
In depth knowledge and understanding of technical, commercial and legal aspects of procurement in development projects, financed by the government and its development partners.
Preferably well-acquainted with the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, July 2016 (Revised November 2017, August 2018, and November 2020) and STEP requirements. Working knowledge of any GePNIC based e-procurement system is desired.
Experience handling similar projects at the local government level.
Experience with large multilateral funded projects such as WB, ADB, among others are highly desired.
