Description: IDC seeks to recruit suitably qualified person in the role to extend capacity building and technical knowledge support to cluster of cities amongst AMRUT Cities in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This will require frequent travel to the towns and cities and interaction with the cadre of municipal functionaries and the community institution.
In the cascade mode, will later extend supportive supervision to improve the work processes around solid waste management such as efficiency in the door to door collection of the segregated waste, processing of the wet and dry waste through community level decentralized composting and setting up of material recovery facilities (MRF) for the dry waste. Also, monitor the reduced waste going to dumping site and sanitary landfills sites. Further, strategies will be also implemented for reduction of the waste and its improved management at the source of waste generation. The role description is only illustrative and not exhaustive.

Educational requirements:
- Educational qualification in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Environment Planning, Environmental Science, Development Studies, Social Work, Mass Communication, Sociology, Geography are encouraged to apply.
- A prior experience of working in the urban sanitation and solid waste management domain and knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Photoshop etc. is a desired requirement. Willingness to undertake frequent travel with meagre resources and fluency in Hindi will be an advantage.
