Description: DULT in collaboration with Connected Places and Energy Systems Catapults and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is looking for potential candidates interested in doing internship on assessing the impacts of pedestrianizing of an urban street, in terms of Quality of Life (QoL) and other parameters. The internship is for a period of five months (tentatively between October 2020 - February 2021).
Responsibilities:
- Field investigation and data collection,
- Data analysis to measure the impacts before and after pedestrianization of urban street,
- Extensive stakeholder engagement,
- Candidates will be required to visit the project location frequently for data collection and other project related works.
Required background/skills:
- The internship positions are available for both third/final year students of Undergraduate (UG) program in Civil Engineering as well as for first/second year students of Postgraduate (PG) program in Transportation Engineering/Planning. Previous experience in traffic/pedestrian surveys is desirable.
