Description: The Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) India is seeking a full-time Policy Associate to facilitate the delivery of applied economics research projects for the institute.
Responsibilities:
- Support grant reporting by drafting of technical progress reports for large multilateral, bilateral and philanthropy grants.
- Organize meetings, events, workshops, policy dialogues with partner organizations
- Organize programmatic capacity building and training sessions.
- Track energy and environment policy developments and trends in India and beyond.
- Regularly update funder tracker and credentials cum donor pack.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Educational requirements:
- Post-graduate degree in economics, International development, Management, Engineering and/or other related fields.
Experience requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of work experience with a grant-based organization, not for profit set up with a client-facing component.
- Strongly motivated to drive social impact and improve lives
Desired Skills:
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills with high proficiency in MS office i.e. Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.
- Ability to articulate complex ideas into impactful proposals.
- Domain working knowledge of the energy and environment sector is preferred.
- Experience in partnership development with research affiliates, think-tanks and funding organizations.
- Knowledge of research design and delivery will be a plus.
- Ability to multitask, identify priorities and meet deadlines.
