To work as Business head, with P&L responsibility for JUST
To grow the consulting work through various strategies, viz
active bidding of tenders (alone, with partners, JV’s, etc.)
empanelment with govt. depts (generic where exist for domain-services, or case-to-case), and
single-source work through discussions with larger clients such as DFIs and others
To grow the strong networking/coordinating/liaison with local and state government bodies to deploy projects as well as ensure smooth execution of services
To proactively explore the partners for different calls, and maintain roster of experts and potential partners for set domain-services meeting eligibility criteria as per usual tenders
Take charge of the business plan as proposed, making suggestion for changes as per market regularly to Director, Projects and Executive Director
Qualification:
Overall experience should be 12+ years having PG in Urban planning / Urban designing / Urban Management / Infrastructure Planning or Engineering / Environment Planning or Engineering
5+ years worked as Program lead handling multiple bids, and Team Lead in at least 2-3 projects, having overseen entire project cycle from bidding to closure
Consulting experience in urban development / government advisory is mandatory. Work with organizations is preferable, while individual subject matter experts / proprietary firm heads may apply
Having a network of consultants and SMEs in urban governance to participate in bids is an advantage
Particular areas of expertise in any one sector within urban development (e.g. waste, water, energy, planning, design/buildings, institutional capacity, municipal finance, etc.) is preferable
Experience with policy/research in the development sector will be an asset but optional
