Associate Transport Planner

Description:
The selected candidate shall report to the Deputy Manager. The primary responsibilities are given below, but the employee may be required to perform additional tasks even if they are not explicitly mentioned.
Conduct research and prepare knowledge resources such as technical guides, presentations, templates, and reports towards the Low Emission Mobility Zone programme.
Support on GIS mapping and analysis, and develop high quality visual content such as maps and infographics.
Support on data collection, on-ground surveys, and coordination with various stakeholders.
Work with the communications team to prepare high quality visual content for advocacy and building support with government and non-government stakeholders.
Engage with a diverse set of people—civic officials, partner organisations, civil society agents, media, project consultants, and others at different stages of the project.
Qualification:
An undergraduate in urban planning, transport planning or relevant fields.
Post-graduate in a similar field will be an advantage (we are not looking to hire urban
designers for this position)
At least two years of relevant work experience
Proficiency with GIS mapping and analysis, and Google Suite is essential
Good understanding of transport data, its analysis and visualisation
Knowledge on transport emissions, transport modelling, cost-benefit analysis is
preferred
Good research and presentation skills
Excellent English writing and speaking skills; additionally working proficiency in
Marathi is preferred
Strong time-management and organisational skills
Ability to maintain high standards while contributing pragmatic ideas
